PVP Event : The Survivors

Hi Players,

We are proud to announce a special PVP event : The Survivors.

You wake up, laying in the sand, by the seashore; when a man, talks to you :

- "Welcome on the island child.", he said
- "Who are you ? where am I ?", you said
- "I'm here to help you."
- "Helping me doing.. what ?"
- "Surviving."

You clearly think this guy must be insane, and start exploring the surroundings. It looks like an island, lost in the middle of nowhere.

You feel like... like you've already came here... If only you could jump over that fence to take a look in the center of the island !

Time is close, and time is limited, sooner or later there will be only 1 survivor.

A couple days before the event, you will be able to convert one of your level 1 character into a Survivor (a special character, made only for this event)

- Event is to take place on Sunday 29 at 8:00PM Paris-Clock
- Last survivor (winner) will have an X2 offered for himself or to bring in a friend !

In Short : level 1 mass PVP (feel free to invite friends or new players willing to try out PVP on T4C, you wont need any items or gold to participate)

Zero-tolerance mode activated

Hi Players,

During this summer, many players enjoyed my holidays away from the server to use and abuse of various cheats like auto-xp or plugging using some portals/stairs.

I would like to explain the cheaters that if they like this server, they should stop acting like this immediately before the server simply goes off because all legit players will have gone depicted.

In all MMORPG history, there was and will always be cheaters, even in multinational companies and famous online games there are cheaters.

Fact is, T4C is a very fragile eco-system, it cannot endure cheat as it kills players faster than they can come in the game.

As a matter of fact, we are very sad but forced to go into a Zero-tolerance mode : that is to say, ANY abuse like auto-xp OR plug that is witnessed by a staff member will lead to PERMANENT BAN of ALL accounts of the player who cheated INCLUDING shared accounts if any.

I am more than disappointed by some players behavior, who I was personally glad to invite playing here and who are betraying my confidence.

Welcome Abomination's coordinator !

Hia Players,

Abomination exists for more than 2 years now and its growing success leads us to continously work on improvments, bug fixes, daily paid service deliveries and so on.

As a result of this success, I cannot hold the workload all by myself alone :)

For people who are used to the problem report / paid services you might have noticed some problems were answered by the user named support instead of myself. This person was my on-learning coordinator, Cole !

The Coordinator is in charge of :

- Customer support, through problem reports
- Paid service deliveries
- Providing support to the High Arbiter and Moderator Guardians

Essence, the High Executor who's work-load haven consequently been shared will now focus on wandering around invisible on server, hunting for any suspect behavior from players.

Of course, if you have any question, you can still reach me through problem reports, I am lifting out the most repetitive tasks as possible to free some time to work on quality of service and performances.

Client version RC11 + new quest !

Hia Players,

The patch servers have been given a new version for the client, this version number RC11 brings some usefull things and fixes :

- A new quest : The Elven lesson which is the last part of Bloodstones-Archrealm quest suite.
- A new area for you to explore : the Elven world on the brink of its destruction.
- A few new V2 graphics were integrated to illustrate these new places and challenges.
- PVP Drops will no longer disapear from your sight when you kill someone.
- Speedcontrol feature (limiting to the strict acceptable minimum the effect of speedhack tools)

If you are caught trying to use speedhack, your account will be deleted. I am fed up of spending countless hours trying to find technical solutions to a human behavior issue. If you like this server, respect it, respect its players and respect my work.

If you are aware of such an issue with your character, let say for example it was delivered with 100 in meditate or such, instead of zero, please report your case immediately using problem reports. If your char is detected during the next monthly mass check, you might be locked for bug abuse.

Speed control on Abomination !

Hia Players,

It is with the greatest pleasure that I can announce today that we finally get totally rid of Speedhack techniques on Abomination.

We re-wrote the server code handling the movements of players on the map, so that now it's no longer possible to flood it with movements network packets !

In a first step we totally blocked the flooding ability, which lead our firsts tests into a Robocop-like / Moonwalk-like weird movements. This was because the server was refusing any movement packet if the one already being processed was not finished.

In order to fix this issue we set up kind of a BURN PROOF buffer (like on old CDROM-Burning softwares) to make sure we feed the server with enough movements packets to keep the moves smooth and sharps.

I really appreciate your patience and support helping me to track down the issues with speedhack and stuff.

Speedhack is now a closed chapter on Abomination.

Seraphs on Abomination

Hello Players,

A very short news to inform you that the Paid Features will re-open on August the 8th with the X1 seraphs at the price of 20$.

Then on August the 13th for the X2 at the price of 40$ and the rest of the paid features.

For re-deliveries of purchased seraphs during the period of January 8th to July 8th, please use the problem report with all requested information using the appropriate category.

Please note that stated the very probable high demand on deliveries, it might take a certain time for your character to be delivered, the paid characters will get the priority over the re-delivered ones.

Abomination Act II

Good evening,

Tonight is THE night, our server will re-open for act II, after a loooong week of preparation, coding, fixing and stuff.

The opening is planned for 20:00 GMT (2:00PM ETC)

Stated the very probable massive webpatch downloads, we strongly advise you to start now to download the patch for your already installed client, from the page Downloads. This patch must be installed in the same folder as your existing T4C installation. So that you wont have to re-download the 200MB+ of the complete game.

For this act II, here is a list of main modifications :

- Antiplug
- Removed Sirocco spell
- Reduced a bit the AC bonus of ACP
- Red dots removed from the radar
- HE items drop rate lowered slightly
- Sell price of weapons on the Lord of the Shops slightly reduced
- New moderation policy (and new moderation tools)

The WIPE will happen

Good evening,

We had a quite difficult week on this server, since the proposal of the wipe was done.

But it was worth it

As today I will work actively on preparing the settings of what will be Abomination - Act 2, this shall get started on Wednesday July, 8th

My works is now to :

1. Set up an antiplug system (to log off without risks for your toon, you'll have to wait 30 secs without any thing happening, no move, no attack, not attacked)
2. Remove red dots on the radar minimap
3. Lower weapons price at the Shadow seller
4. Slightly reduce the drop rates of HE items on the Lich
5. Sligtly raise the respawn delay for Oracle bonus chests and try to have a random delay set up at server restart
6. Set the maximum for Seraph reborns to X2
7. Delete Sirroco spell
8. Easy island accesses quests by raising the droprates of quest items
9. Review entirely the moderation policy, in order to get into a 0 tolerance mode toward insults
10. Improve the website
11. Motivate Chaotik and Mestoph (4T4C developpers) to speed up the coding process in order we can install 4T4C quickly after the wipe

How will the WIPE be planned ?

This week end, I hope arbiters will be available to plan the last PVP tournament of Act 1, to win this time : some collector cardgames with special mention for Abomination wipe !

Please find below, the content of an emailing which I hope have reached your mailbox by midnight :

It has been a long time since the last emailing !
I hope you can enjoy how few I am spamming your mailbox.

If I come to you today, It's because I need your advice. Regarding a topic which is quite important : How about an Abomination : ACT II, let me explain.

Over the last 2 years abomination met almost all its expectations ! This was possible so far because of the huge players involvment at many stages of the server preparation, beta testing and go live. Although I personnally involved myself at 110% I was unable to monitor every aspects of the server's health, that is to say that I was not able to predict its future (by the way, if you know someone who would have, please feel free to arrange an appointment for me =] i'll ask for his next predictions).

So what ? Okay, here we go. Over the last 2 years, I had to perform a few adjustments on the server's balance, items, skills (Armor Piercing, Parry etc.), Spells ( Sirroco) and maybe a couple other things I just forgot about. But these little tweaks were not able to insure a real balance in our server's economy (HE weapons prize is simply, totally not acceptable and leads to some un-interresting PVP).

The server have come into a quite frozen status of : new players not really motivated to come, and old players not really motivated to play/PVP. Some of the high level players used some former bugs to level easierly, these bugs being fixed since quite a while now, there is a balance problem since new players cannot level up using the same bug (lich abuse, time protectors abuse, ethereal rats abuse).

Today after a very -very very- long meditation upon these topics and how to fix, I have decided to consider the possibility to propose a server WIPE. (This means, a total deletion of all players, accounts, items, mules, tops BUT of course under certain circumstances which I will detail here after :).

In the case of a wipe, here would be what will change :

• Total deletion of all characters, items, mules, and accounts.
  
• Limiting the server to X2 instead of X3 like it is now
  
• Easing the islands and Oracle access quests for spending less time questing and more time PVPing !
  
• Allowing the merchants to buy all the droppable equipment (HE weapons could be sold a couple Millions for example)
  
• Lowering back to normal value the ACP AC bonus
  
• Lowering a bit the Unstable belt of protection AC bonus, to encourage the use of more various items
  
• Addition of an Anti-plug system (you'll have to wait at least 20 seconds without any combat or movments to be able to log off)
  
• Removal of the "red dots" which shows players positions on the radar map
  
• Removal/Nerving of spell Sirroco (In Abomination act I, this spell is way too powerful, was not supposed to be)
  
• Will start selling seraphs X1 only after 3 weeks
  
• Will start selling seraphs X2 only after 5 weeks
  
• ( if ready yet) installing 4T4C version get more information here : 4T4C.me

New paid feature : secured trading

Dear players,

It's been a long time we have scamming problems on our server. Some players were trying to steal your characters by inviting you to trade your character for one of theirs using the char transfert system of the website.

Despite the fact that char selling was forbidden, many players still continues to risk their character in some totally absurd trading, mostly resulting in both accounts being locked because i'm fed up with "my char was stolen" stories.

Yesterday I updated the website with a new paid feature which is a secured trading system for trading 1 char vs 1 char. (NOT FOR CHAR SELLING)

In simple words it works like that :

1. you send your char to a special locked account
2. the other player sends his char to the same special locked account
3. both you and the other player can review the frozen chars
4. if both players agrees to trade (they can see stats, resists, items, spells) then each of them pay 10$
5. when payments are received server staff will move the chars to the appropriate players account

So, no longer "who sends the first" problem !

I hope this new feature will help securing the character exchanges, and also will make some money for the server !

Today Abomination is having its 2 years anniversary !

Thanks to all of you who continously support the server !

While the first 2 years were focused on creating the website and creating the base content of the server, I really intend to focus the coming year on improving the server stability, fixing bugs and stuff : you may have noticed that the updates are coming nearly each 3 or 4 days these time, you can witness how active we are on these developpements.

In order to make you happy, a new quest area is available, the Archrealm. If you want to go there and meet the first Archangel and maybe ask her how to get the same wings ;) you'll need to "use" your Crown of Judgement, which you can get by the quest line : Bloodstone, have fun !

I am aware of some bugs reported regarding the lich, which is going to be fixed as soon as possible, *Any discovered abuse on the Lich as from April 01 at 00:00 AM may lead to punishments*. Bugs must be reported, not abused.

You might have noticed that you have downloaded recently nearly 100mb of webpatch files ! If you wonder what's in, please read :

Client side :

• Changed the mini-map images for something more medieval-looking (old paper).
  
• New wings model available, the Arch-angel wings (a quest to get these is coming soon).
  
• Some graphics improvements on stats and chest windows.
  
• Fixed Windows Vista "freezes" when alt+tabbing.
  
• Loading time is now way faster.
  
• No more black screens after the menu selection screen.
  
• You will no longer receive trade invitations from the people you have in your Ignore list.
  
• Fixed some other minor bugs
  
• Probably added some new little bugs :p if you find some, please report using the problem report tool.
  

• Added a new quest area, for an incoming new quest
  
• Fixed SQL database access problems
  
• Fixed many other bugs and security breaches
  

Server maintenance

Dear players,

You may have noticed the server was offline during the week end of March 14th and 15th and we appologies for you not being able to play.

We conducted several tests on the machine in order to find out the possible reasons of the serial reboots & crashs which occured on Friday, it seems the most possible reasons are :

- Corrupted Game data for newly added NPC (non playing characters)
- Database temporary issues / out of memory problems
- Hackers trying to ruin the server

In the 3 cases enonciated before, we took actions

- Fixed any "potentially harmfull" data in the NPCs information
- Searched and fixed any strange data in the database, and rebooted the machine in case of memory issue
- Deep and (very time eating) analysis of all the log files to search for any cheaters (only a few accounts where locked, discussions are pending to find out if these were potentially hackers)

We reopen the server today, Monday 16th with all the "debug traces activated" in order that if the problem occurs again, we will have more information about it.

Formulas updated

Dear players,

Today we restore on Abomination the original PVP formulas of the skills : Armor Penetraion and Powerfull Blow.

It has been 6 months that we searched where was the problem with Parry skill being too powerful => we were wrong, Parry was okay, it was Armor Penetration and Powerfull Blow which had been modified in the past and were nerved.

So as a matter of today we have the "exact" same formulas as on NMS and as upcoming T4C 1.7.

We truely understand that having played with a particularly low efficiency on PB and AP might have lead you to focus on Skill parry, and that's why today we offer to give you back the skill points that you may have dispatched into Parry, Powerfull blow or Armor Penetration so that you can redistribute according to the new formulas, in the respect of your character build.

If you want to have a redistribution of your skill points, please go to the "problem report" page of this website and choose the topic "New formulas / Parry" topic. You will have the right for only ONE change per character, and only if asked BEFORE February the 28th.

Stating the fact that such corrections on skills will represent a LOT of work for us, we would kindly ask you to be patient and give us some time to proceed with your character, not to mention that we'll have to check every demand against cheaters/abusers.

Please note that we are not going to treat stats redistribution. Do not even try asking for a modification of your STR/END/AGI/INT/WIS.

I really hope you appreciate this final modification on the formulas, and we really hope it will bring back the balance and fair challenge to our server; I also really hope you will not get disapointed by having your character partially outdated with this update, hey ;) time to go play, it will be the same with all your opponents !

Learn more about the Website updates

Dear players,

The website have been improved continously over the 6 last months, and I thought it could be a good idea to explain in a short news what was new and what kind of things you can do with it now !

First of all you may have noticed we are fully compliant with the syndicated RSS news system, meaning that any one of you who have a blog or any RSS compatible software can add Abomination's data flow on his website, this of course would automatically help our server's ranking in Google and such.

Please note also that we took several weeks to entirely re-work the website so that it can now support fully two languages ! French & English. I hope to be able to translate in more languages like Portugues as soon as I can, I just need to learn Portugues though :p

You may have noticed some re-working in the menu-tabs, with the new welcome one : PVP. This new tab brings you with all information you may need regarding the Player Versus Players on Abomination. You can reach this PVP tab by clicking here. Please note also the sub-tab named Tournaments which contains the count-down timer for the next PVP event as long as the last results !

Regarding new features you may be interrested to visit the Addon pages which contains valuable information regarding the new items/spells and quests of our sever. These tabs are located under the Server tab, you can get there here. Please note the sub-tabs named Addon Spells/Monsters/Quests as well as Maps which contains ALL the maps of the new areas of Abomination, including the PVP Arenas !

Speaking about Addons Quests, if you pay enough attention to the Addon Quests subtab of Server page, you will notice that each quest is totally explained step by step and that a on-map visual locators is indicated for each of these steps ! All you need is to click on the small "eye" icon on the right part of the table, in front of the quest step you want to learn the location about.

Let's move now to the Top page, which of course contains the top levels players of the server (the locked accounts do not appear in this listing) but also the top rats killers.. the most killed.. AND that's new : The most influents ! But.. what is the most influent feature ? Well. When your friend register a new account on Abomination you can tell him your account name to put into the "invited by" form field. This will allow you to get some "influence points" if your friend reaches some leveling objectives like being level 100 or seraphing !

Let's finish with a few words on the "authentificated" features. You may have noticed the tab "Account" which allows you to log in the website on a private area which will allow you to perform various actions, such as renaming your character, transfering your character to an other account or even transferring some items from one of your character's chest to an other of your character's chest. This private website area also grants you with the tools you may need in case of your account get punished by a moderator or the server operator. When you are punished (unable to speak ingame, or unable to log in) you can view for how long you will stay under this punishment, and when the punishment expired you will get a button to remove the punishment yourself.

I strongly encourage you to discover all the features of the website, especially the new addon quests which can get really interresting if you want to learn more about the story of T4C and maybe at last meet the one being who is the cause of the whole Prophecy !

Guilds issues

Dear players,

Since approximatively 1 week we had some strange issues with the server being unable to take login requests.

After some investigations it seems it is linked to the database server and more specificaly : to the guild chest system and probably the too huge amount of objects in the guild chests !

So, in order to keep the server running and players playing, I have switched off temporarly the Guild chests features, do not worry, your items will be kept safe, but unreachable until it is fixed.

A new High Arbiter to organize events!

Dear players,

We are glad to announce you the nomination of Wisiris as High Arbiter. Unfortunately, you might see we are too busy to organize event, that's why we hired him.

We also remember the fact that the High Arbiter is only allowed to organize events (mainly PVP ones) and hasn't any power except teleportation and moderation. You can find all what you want to know here about his different powers.

Kingdom Connection special offer

Dear KC players,

This is with the utmost sadness that we learn today the closing of Kingdom Connection's classical T4C server.

Kingdom Connection was one of the last authentic classical T4C server, after nearly 10 years of existance it is a major actor of T4C who is leaving.

During the last months going, the number of online players has decreased too much, and the managment probably decided it was not worth it to continue maintaining an empty server.

BUT, this server was NOT empty ! There are still many, many toons downthere ! In the database, in your old KC account.

Abomination proposes the former KC players to get a free X3 level 1 seraph toon, of course, Abomination is absolutely not the same settings as KC was, but if you feel you have enough guts, you can try it !

You have to fill in some conditions to be eligible for this special free offer :

- Having been at least a 1 month paid member on KC
- Having at least a level 40 toon on KC
- And of course a strong desire to play on a PVP server !

If you fullfil the requirements, please first create an Abomination Account, then get into the "Problem report" page, and select "Kindgom Connection => Special Offer" then follow the instructions.

After nearly 2 month of total prohibition, the character transferts are re-opening, BUT :

- Any character transfert is FINAL. No return possible.
- NEVER EVER Purchase/Buy/Trade a character from a other player as you will VERY LIKELY get stolen your money/items
- Any character transfered for an IRL trading reason might end up in character locking or deletion.

Upgrade to version 1.64a

Dear players,

Less than a week after 1.63g, today the game have been updated to version 1.64a !

- Guilds are now supported !
- Fixed Luck stat, some people had 0 or 1, instead of normal number : 100
- Improved server stability for massive effects and action
- Fixed a problem where you character sometimes did not save his boosts
- And some more which I forgot about !

Please note that you *must* upgrade your game to 1.64a version in order to play Abomination T4C all other versions may not run properly, so insure your webpatch is running normally.

Tip : If you experiences difficulties in patching the game, with for example a message like "Size of T4C.exe is incorrect, webpatching failed" it means you have to clear your Internet Explorer's cache/history/cookies (to do so, just run Internet Explorer, then go to Tools/Internet Options, then use the buttons to clear temporary internet files)

Upgrade to version 1.63g

Dear players,

Today the game have been updated to version 1.63g. Okay so what is new ?

- Crashings at character selection is fixed
- Better behavior of the game in Windowed Mode (less freezes)
- Faster starting of the game / connexion to server
- Reduced amount of needed memory
- Fixed some unexpected crashes
- ... and some expected crashes !
- You can no longer abuse a bug by "hiding yourself under a potion"
- Drops on floor are better managed and will show their actual location directly
- Reduced amounts of items ghostings
- Added an information message for newbies, to advise them to log off in a safe place !

- Character names can be long up to 19 letters now
- Special letters like "é and à" are now supported

Now, be carefull if you just get updated, because the fixing of these bugs impacted the format of the savegame files, so that you will have to make your macros again.

Regarding the fact you will have to re-set up your macros, we reduced the PVM drops to 0% during 1 day, just in case you could not use your healing potions and an evil monster killed you before you could even re-create your macros !

Characters/Accounts trading is now FORBIDDEN !

To whom it may concerns,

By today, after long time thinking, I took the decision to completely FORBID Characters/Accounts trading on Abomination.

If I catch anyone trying to :
- "sell" his account or character
- "buy" an account or character

I will lock this person's account, and probably ban his IP adress.

I have been spending the last 2 months trying to hunt down for account thefts, hi-jackers and guys who abused from the confidence of other players.

All this time lost ! I could have worked emproving the server.
I will now come to ZERO TOLERANCE regarding Account or Characters trading.

Sooner or later, I wish we also can forbid account sharing, for ever from T4C, it's a poison to gameplay and fairness.

In French : La vente de personnages ou comptes est d�sormais totalement INTERDITE sur le serveur Abomination. Toute personne prise en train de tenter de vendre un compte, ou en train d'en acheter un verra son propre compte lock� et peut �tre m�me son IP bannie. Chest to Chest transferts and affiliation !

Dear Abominable Players,

We have the greatest pleasure to announce you a new website feature !
You can now user the offline Chest to Chest transfert system to move items directly from one of your characters to an other !

Both your characters must be on the same account for this to work !

It is now up to you to discover this feature and use it of you feel like it might help you !

We also have the pleasure to announce you that a new affiliation system is available !

If you log on the website using your account name and password you can now "invite" your friends to play T4C ! You will be invited to enter their email adress and give your name, it will automatically send an invitation email with a special link they can click to register !

If your friends use this link to register, their newly created account will start creating "influence" for your own account !

If you friends can reach at least 1 reborn or a human level 100 character on an account linked to yours you will get rewarded with influence points !

What can I do with my influence points ?

It is not yet completely finished, but you will be able to gain free features instead of paying for it ! Example of you bring 3 player which reach their first reborn, you will get a free X3 character to offer who you want (including you!). More details on this new affiliation system coming ;)

The idea is to retrieve a lot of ideas to organize new kinds of event.

Beware : Accounts/Items Thefts striking on server

Dear Abominable Players,

It has been quite a while now that we receive almost 10 complaints per day regarding issues with others players having scammed* you.
* Scammed : when a players announces that he will sell to you an object, you pay, and got an other item, less worthy

Please double-triple check the items you're about to trade with an other player, you can right-click the item in the Trade Window to check the item name. Please be particulartly precautious not to mistake a +2 item with a "pile of items" indicated x2. So a Composite Bow +2, is not the same as a Composite Bow x2 !!

Please, once and again, for server and game's sake NEVER EVER SHARE YOUR ACCOUNTS. Or you will have to face the consequences when the person you trusted at first will make a huge mistake on your character (spending stat points in the wrong slot, learning undesired spells... changing character name... Selling your items and even selling your Character !)

Since many players continues to purely and simply ignore these simple rules, and these players, are often the ones we receive the most emails from, saying they had their account hacked. We do not believe in account hacking.

For a little while aswell, some players just feel like they could speak as they want on public channels. We would like to remind these persons, that the server is a public area, aimed at pleasure-of-play and good PVP.

We will enforce one step lower the level of tolerance regarding insults on public channels. Depending on the kind of insult you've thrown on channels, Not being cut you will, but mostly locked a couple days.

To finish, remember : NEVER accept to trade an ACCOUNT or a CHARACTER with an other player without consulting sysop first. Don't you want to loose 150$ buying an account that the seller will get back within 2 days, do you ?

Abusing is bad : -9hrs Time warp forced

Dear Abominable Players,

Due to some players abusing potions/manastones left on the floor for a PVP event, that were instead of being used in PVP arena, were sold to npcs and stored in personnal chests. The TOP10 abusers will get locked for 1 week.

We totally apologize for this, but in order to preserve server balance, and efforts each players invested into this server for more than a year now, we have to timewarp the server to last proper backup, that's to say -9 hours back.

We totally agree that it's a pain for everybody, that it represents some time Xping, and maybe some items camped. But we just cannot afford the risk of letting some players with benefits of that kind of abuse.

We also would like to get forgiven for this mess, it's also part of our mess. We used normal potions for this event instead of "event potions" which have a sold price of 0. Please be sure that this mistake will never happen again on Abomination.

Cheaters will get locked

Dear Abominable Players,

We recently discovered an exploit that allows players to XP without monsters being able to strike back by fooling their coordinates data.
Some abusers have been discovered aswell, and they're being locked for a couple days during we inspect their characters.

This bug is going to get fixed as soon as possible, even if it appearently exists since 1.25 ! It's a shame it's been reported and explained to us only a couple days ago where it could have been a couple years ago...

So now on, since today morning we will punish any cheater found abusing this bug.

Thanks to the latest server update, a few things have been fixed :

Royal Guard

Hia !

Good news, there is something new in Abomination, a permanent PVP event, driven by players, and with players only.

The Royal Guard (RG, or GR in French) is an event where players can choose to "protect the kingdom of goldmoon" or to be an "infamous evil guy". The Royal Guard players have a special offline tool that allows em to set titles to the players who which to play in the GR, or players who have been spotted as "Noobs public enemies" !

The Royal Guard have no special powers, abilities or weapons, they're just normal players, with a title to recognize, and/or glorify em !

Some examples :
Royal Guard when entering the troops, then : Captain, Major, Colonel, General...

For the bad guys here are some examples of titles :
Outlaw, Assassin, Serial Killer, Public Enemy

Keep in mind that if you get titled with "Outlaw, or Public enemy" you might have to deal with the players in the RG ! So avoid killing the noobs :p especially if the noobs get to complain to the Royal Guard marshals !

Account trading : danger

Do not accept to trade an account with a player you're not sure about, and if you do trade an account with someone please both agree to use the "character transfert" feature, it is a small investment, but it brings security to the exchange, making the character transfert definitive to the target account.

Remember that on abomination, the official owner of an account, is the owner of the email indicated in the account registering details. We no longer accept to modify the email on accounts, just because of too many abuses or attempts to abuse (mostly sellers that sells their accout 75$, give password and the customer who change password thinks he's done... 1 month later the "official owner" ask us for the "lost password" and fool up the customer.)

Use the secured transfert character feature, or avoid trading* accounts. It's even best to start your own character ! why not starting with a level 1 X3 toon ?

We're in 2008, there is no point seing any racism-like insults, toward any ethnic group or religion.

Yesterday was the drip that flooded the ocean, it's been indicated since the beggining on Abomination, on website, ingame with the welcome message and in the launcher.

Racism or segregation is not tolerated on Abomination, as a matter of consequence, today we are temporarly banning players which obviously cannot contain their poor jokes.

We are really serious when it comes to this, no kidding. Any problem report toward someone who uses racial or religion insults may get locked out for a couple days or weeks. Banned definitelively if still ignoring our warning.

New rules added to the server section : no racism on public channels, NOR local, NOR whisps. Nowhere !

Do not post screens or logs on public forums such as JoL or Bible, this will not help us punishing the offender. Use the problem report feature of this website instead ! Quickest, and way better for the server.

Abomination is now running T4C v1.63.
What does it change for players?
- Some new graphics
- Account security improved
- New stat point: Luck.

What's the luck?
Base luck is defined to +/- 100 points. Luck only influences random things such monster drops, skills and spells success, etc...

For example, a potion drop rate is set to 10%. If you have 110 points in luck, the drop rate is increased by 10%, so the new potion drop rate will be 11%.
At the contrary, if you have 90 points in luck, the drop rate will be decreased by 10%, so the new drop rate will be 9%.

Only items or spells can boost Luck.
Right now, there are no spells and no items that influences Luck.

Please DO NOT share your account, under no circumstances, or you should have someone trying to benefit of it, and abusing you to steal your items.

Today I had to ban 4 accounts for being directly or indirectly involved in an account steal + items stealing.

One of these accounts have been banned for ever, as Squall was, Mya have been added to my list of accounts thieves and will get banned on sight.

Recently we had to face a problem, involving a player using a trick in a trade to cheat an other player.

He announced trading a Nice Bow +2, where in fact he traded 2xSimple Bows (using the fact that the quantity is displayed right after the items name, Bow x2). The victim accepted the deal without noticing the difference between "x" and "+".

This story brought some drama, as a consequence we are adding a rule to the server, in order to clarify this :

Trading with an other player is AT YOUR OWN RISK, double, triple check exactly what you are going to trade BEFORE accepting !

So please make sure your seller is not trying to cheat you, because the Staff will not be able to help you.

The server is getting updated today, client aswell. You may experiment some issues loggin in the game during the update procedure.

Since now approximatively 2 month the server has been slower and slower, the reason was that we had more than 28 billion logging lines in the database server that were totally useless and hard-disk eating.

It ended with SQL server having less than 10mb free on hard drive.... many knows what happens with windows and low hard disk space.

As it has been said in game, Staff members won't do name changes anymore and these renames will require some gold pieces. (except for tags, you will have to ask a GM and we will do it freely :))
All the renames will now be done by this form on the website.

To celebrate the new year, a traveler called Nostradamus took a break and gives some gift to players.
If you are lvl 85+, he will ask you to bring him 3 items (tanratula eyes, a ring of light and a rough carnelian) to be able to send you to a new area, where you could find new powerful monsters.

This 3rd december update will deal about several details we wanted to get freed about for some time now :

- Removing all remaining "event" monsters in Stonecrest (Acid mummies/zombies, and Underground Bats/Tarantulas in the thieves lair)
- Fixing the holes in the newly doubled walls, in Makrsh P'Tangh's lair
- Lowered to 1 skill point the cost of the spell "Pray"
- Introduced the spell "Pray Ogrimar" works the same as "Pray", but for Evil people
- Introduced a new NPC in Mordenthal's castle, to teach the spell "Pray Ogrimar"
- Added a NPC to collect "Yellow Crystal Shards" in the thieves' lair, Stonecrest
- Count Hemogoblin will now drop a rare "Ritual Mask", which boosts Water and/or Dark spells
- Graax will now drop a "Feathered Helm" a "must-have" for noobs lol !

Major Electrical Power outtage at Dialsoft's

November the 27th will stay in Abomination's story as being the longest ever major break down, the server was unavailable for at nearly 48 hours.

The database was unfortunately broken during this break down, and a safe backup copy have been restored meaning a 24 hours back time warping.

I understand players being sad loosing nearly 1 day XPing/Camping. Now it is safe again to play and XP, the major issue is now fixed.

Server internal update

Due to high population on the server (That's cool btw), and T4C being quite an old game it have difficulties to keep the server clean and lag-free.


An automated reboot is now planned every day, it will occur at a random-like timing when players online is at the lowests rates.


The Lich Makrsh P'tang has been updated, it will now "teleports" two times, to insure players DO NOT abuse it by staying on the same "position" to benefit of the Lich not attacking. Players caught using this trick will be treated without any consideration.

Mordenthal's minions found us ! The Refuge is no longer a safe place ! Hurry ! Return to Stonecrest !

Many players died in a savage attack INSIDE THE REFUGE ! This was the heavy blood price to pay to return to the beloved Stonecrest.
